Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

Yes. After you create your parent account and add your child, you'll enter card details to start the trial. You won't be charged for 14 days. If MathsHarbour isn't right for your family, cancel from the parent dashboard before day 15 and you'll pay nothing.

Yes, you can cancel at any time from your account settings. There are no lock-in contracts. Your subscription runs until the end of the current billing period, then stops.

Currently yes - MathsHarbour covers Year 7 of the Australian Curriculum in full. Year 8 content is in development. If you'd like to be notified when it's available, reach out to us at [email protected].

This is common and expected. MathsHarbour identifies prerequisite gaps and the learning pathway includes content that addresses foundational weaknesses, even if they originate in earlier year levels.

No. The parent account is for you to monitor progress and manage the subscription. Your child gets a separate student login that they use independently to complete their work.

MathsHarbour is a self-paced learning platform, not one-to-one tutoring. The Ask a Tutor feature lets your child submit specific questions and receive written or video explanations, but the core experience is student-led practice guided by the platform.

15-20 minutes per day is enough to make consistent progress. Shorter, regular sessions work better than occasional long ones. MathsHarbour tracks daily activity so you can see how often your child is logging in.

After the maths check, you'll see a personalised result showing your child's secure areas, possible gaps and a recommended starting point. You can then create a free parent account to save the result and access the full learning pathway.

No. The free Year 7 Maths Check at mathsharbour.com/maths-check is completely free and does not require any login or personal information. You create an account only if you want to save the result and continue.

Yes. Ask a Tutor support is included with your subscription. When your child gets stuck on a skill, they can submit a question and a tutor will reply with a written explanation and optionally a short video. Fair-use limits apply.
